I needed to read this now :) sometimes our bodies scream out to stop doing so many things at once - and we still don’t hear it. Many of us - like me - like doing it all (or have just conditioned our minds to think we like doing it all ?)
Next year I hope to slow down - just so my mind is always not so hectic. Take a day off every now and then. It’s ok. Take a day off every now and then AND not do a 100 errands… recognize that this too is a form of self care - and it’s ok to put #mefirst.
So true...I am reminded of the time when my kids were younger (2&6) and we decided to do a family Alaska cruise vacation with both sets of grandparents. I held it together thru the first part of the vacation but when we landed in Vancouver my body gave up and I was forced to stay in bed with a fever for 3 days. It's so important to pay attention to your body. It gives you signs well before it crashes... Just need to listen to it and not feel guilty about doing what you need to take care of yourself.
Why wait till next year? Can you do something small for yourself tomorrow or this week? ❤️
